Unrefereed Course Notes

As a service to our users, we provide two collections of unrefereed notes that were gathered on the MathNerds website in anticipation of the formation of the Journal of Inquiry-Based Learning in Mathematics. Many of these notes have been taught out of for many years. Unless stated otherwise, copyrights for these notes are held by the authors. They are offered here free of cost in order to encourage their use, and may be reproduced and distributed provided that no charge is levied to the users beyond the cost of reproduction. These are listed as "unrefereed" only because they have not undergone the refereeing process put in place when JIBLM was first established in May of 2007.

MathNerds Course Notes Collection
These notes were donated to a collection originally gathered at MathNerds. We encourage the authors and instructors using these notes to submit their (potentially modified) versions to JIBLM for consideration as refereed publications. We have created special designations for authorship of notes that were created by one individual and adapted to a course by a second. Please see the Joint Authorship section of the Information for Authors page for more details.

Guilford College Course Notes Collection
These notes come from "Monographs in Undergraduate Mathematics," founded by J. R. Boyd and developed by the faculty of the Department of Mathematics at Guilford College over the period from 1969 to 1994. When this series became inactive, these notes were donated to MathNerds under the condition that they remain unaltered and protected by Guilford copyright.
